At SHRUBS & BUSHES Shop, we nurture every plant with care before it reaches your garden, just as we carefully handle every return or exchange request. If your plants didn’t arrive as healthy and vibrant as promised, we’ll make it right.

Our Return & Exchange Guarantee

We stand behind our azaleas, camellias, gardenias, and all plants in our collection. If you’re not completely satisfied, you may return most items within 15 days of delivery for a refund or exchange.

Important Exceptions:

To protect our living inventory, we cannot accept returns on:

  • FRAGRANT PLANTS that have been removed from their original packaging
  • Custom PLANT COLLECTIONS created specifically for your order
  • Any plants showing signs of post-delivery damage or neglect

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

Follow these simple steps to return your plants:

Step 1: Contact Our Horticulture Team

Email us at [email protected] within 15 days of receiving your order. Use our template below to ensure we have all necessary information:

Subject: Return Request – Order #[Your Order Number]

Dear SHRUBS & BUSHES Team,

I would like to request a [return/exchange] for my order #[Order Number] placed on [Order Date].

Plant(s) to return: [List plant names and quantities]
Reason for return: [Please describe]
Preferred resolution: [Refund/Exchange for (specific plant)]

I understand I will need to provide photos of the plants in their original condition.

Step 2: Wait for Authorization

Our Texas-based horticulturists will review your request within 2 business days. For plant health concerns, we may request photos to help diagnose any issues.

Step 3: Prepare Your Return

Once approved:

  • Repackage plants in their original containers when possible
  • Include all packing materials and plant tags
  • Do not include fertilizer or soil additives

Step 4: Ship Your Return

We’ll email you a prepaid shipping label for DHL or FedEx returns. For exchanges, we’ll ship your new plants once we receive your return.

Refund Processing

Refunds are processed within 5 business days after we receive and inspect your return. Your funds will be returned via your original payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB): 3-10 business days depending on your bank
  • PayPal: Typically within 24 hours

Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Exchange Policy

Exchange your plants for:

  • The same plant if yours arrived damaged
  • Another plant of equal value from our HOUSEPLANTS, ORNAMENTAL GRASSES, or other collections

We’ll cover standard shipping for exchanges caused by our error.

Gardener’s Tip:

Many of our plants like hydrangeas and Japanese maples may experience temporary shock during shipping. Before returning, consult our care guides or contact our horticulturists—we’re happy to help revive your plants!

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your magnolia trees or other plants arrive damaged or incorrect:

  1. Take photos immediately upon delivery
  2. Keep all packaging materials
  3. Contact us within 48 hours

We’ll arrange for replacement shipping at no cost to you.
